Options to bulk update the synonyms

In the Train Athena module, do we have options to bulk update the synonyms?

Hello @Ganesh_Gandhieswaran, we do offer the option to update synonyms in bulk, and there are two methods to do so:

To add multiple synonyms for multiple columns:

  1. Go to the SME screen.
  2. In each column’s Vocabulary section, you can enter several synonyms for that column.
  3. After adding synonyms for all the desired columns, click the Save button to save your changes.
  4. Note that any changes you make will be temporarily stored until you save them. If you close the browser or reload the screen without saving, your progress will be lost.
  5. Once you have saved your changes, you must Publish them to activate them for use in training Athena.

Assuming you possess the metadata information and synonyms exported from a different dataset.

  1. Kindly proceed to the SME Screen.
  2. On the top right corner, locate and click on the settings icon.
  3. From there, you can find the “Import from Excel” option. If you intend to export the metadata details, such as synonyms, types, categories, and units, you can use the “Export to Excel” option to download the data in Excel format.
  4. You can select and upload the Excel file from your local storage.
  5. Once the upload is complete, the “Save” button will become active. Please click on it to save the changes.
  6. To make the modifications effective, you need to “Publish” the changes.
