Working of Athena

Does Athena traverse the entire knowledge graph every time a question is asked?

Hi @kousalya.jayasankar,

Initially, when a question is asked for the first time, Athena traverses the entire knowledge graph to find relevant information. Subsequent queries are stored in cache memory for faster retrieval, enhancing efficiency and response times.

Additionally, if new vocabulary is added or removed from the knowledge graph, the graph will be reloaded with these changes. When a question is asked after the graph is updated, Athena will traverse the updated graph to retrieve the most up-to-date data. This ensures that Athena remains current and capable of providing accurate information in response to user queries.
