Dedicated and Shared Data Cache Provisioning

How does the Data Cache provisioning option of Dedicated differ from the option of Shared?

Hi @anusha.venkatachalam

The primary difference between Dedicated and Shared provisioning in Data Cache lies in the level of exclusivity and resource sharing:

  • Dedicated Provisioning: On choosing Dedicated provisioning, it means that the Data Cache instance is exclusively reserved for a specific organization. This organization has sole access to and control over the Data Cache. It is ideal for situations where data isolation, customization and security are paramount.
  • Shared Provisioning: On the other hand, Shared provisioning entails that the Data Cache instance is shared among multiple organizations. In this mode, several organizations or users may utilize the same Data Cache instance simultaneously. It is a more resource-efficient approach, suitable when multiple entities can benefit from shared resources.
